Mali says military officers worked with jihadis in recent attacks
A state public prosecutor alleges that some Malian military officers have been working with jihadis and separatists who recently launched their biggest round of attacks in over a decade.
Authorities late on Friday said there was solid evidence to support the claim.
The separatist Azawad Liberation Front in Mali says they have captured a strategic military camp in the northern town of Tessalit after the nation's army and its Russian allies withdrew from there.
The claim was the latest setback for Mali’s ruling junta.
The junta lost control of the major city of Kidal earlier in the week and Malian Defense Minister Sadio Camara was killed.
