Activists staged a protest outside the office of German arms manufacturer Rheinmetall near the historic Brandenburg Gate in Berlin on Monday, Anadolu reports.

The blockade was organized to protest arms production that activists said was linked to attacks on Palestine and Lebanon.

Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg joined the demonstration and said: “We are doing this because it is our duty to protest against injustice and to stand up against genocide.” “Stop Rheinmetall new factory and stop shipping weapons to Israel.

Stop the genocide,” Thunberg added.

Berlin police intervened during the protest and detained Thunberg, the footage showed.
