8 killed after Russian missile and drone strikes in Ukraine

At least eight people have been killed after Russia launched dozens of missiles and more than 280 drones at Ukraine overnight.

In the central city of Kryvyi Rih, two girls aged five and 12 were among the six killed by what local officials said was a direct strike by a Russian ballistic missile.

Video released by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine showed rescuers searching through rubble in what they said was a small village just outside Kryvyi Rih.
