Estonia’s Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna has met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung in Hanoi as part of his country's effort to build ties in trade, technology and digital transformation.
The two countries signed digital cooperation agreements in 2025.
Though small, Estonia is known for e-governance and is offering that expertise as Vietnam pursues reforms aimed at transforming itself into a high-income economy by 2045.
The Estonian minister said Vietnam is a regional priority.
The Vietnam side urged faster progress on trade and investment, calling for EU support for a key investment pact.
It also wants the trading bloc to lift restrictions on imports of seafood from Vietnam.
