Police investigating the murder of Ann Widdecombe say they will not be releasing more details about any potential suspect.
Devon and Cornwall Police said such information could "prematurely compromise ongoing enquiries" but they would release more details "when it is appropriate and necessary, in order to support the investigation".
Earlier, the force said the former Conservative minister was attacked around 12.30pm on Wednesday at her home in Haytor, Devon.
