Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass declared a local emergency Saturday over a massive warehouse fire that has been burning for several days.
The blaze erupted Wednesday in the city's historic Boyle Heights neighbourhood with flames sweeping the roof of the warehouse, belching clouds of smoke and ammonia gas as they consumed solar panels lining the surface.
A shelter-in-place order for the immediate area, issued on Wednesday, was lifted Friday.
