The Supreme Court made a ruling on Wednesday that limits lawmakers' ability to consider race when drawing up districts for voting.
The decision focused on the creation of a majority Black district in Louisiana, which supporters said was necessary and legal under the 1965 Voting Rights Act.
The court said that the map itself was unconstitutional.
Jan Crawford has more on the decision.
