Iran threatens to target bases in European countries, names Bulgaria

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei has threatened to target the sources of any attack on Iran, including military bases and facilities belonging to European countries if they are used in military operations against his country.

At a press conference on Monday, Baghaei said providing bases or equipment to attackers amounted to “participation in the crime” against Iran.

Baghaei said Iran had previously announced that it would target “the origin and source of any act of aggression” against it, specifically naming Bulgaria.

He said Iran had detected several aircraft leaving Bulgarian territory to refuel.
