Vice president JD Vance will be leading US delegation at the ceasefire talks in Islamabad on Saturday.
He says Israel might offer to hold off on attacks in Lebanon.
Security has been beefed up across Islamabad ahead of those talks.
Al Jazeera’s Kamal Hyder has the latest from Islamabad.
Pakistan’s former ambassador to the United Nations, Maleeha Lodhi, has told Al Jazeera that Pakistani understanding of the US-Iran ceasefire is the same as Iran’s – Lebanon is meant to be included.
