Canada-U.S. Trade Minister Dominic LeBlanc will be with U.S. Ambassador Pete Hoekstra and other leaders in Toronto attending Thursday's Canada-U.S. summit.

LeBlanc will speak at the summit and, possibly, address questions surrounding the renewal of the Canada-U.S.-Mexico (CUSMA) trade agreement after U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters in the Oval Office Wednesday he's "not looking to renew" the critical continental trade pact.

If the deadline passes, CUSMA stays in place but is subject to an annual rolling review for up to 10 years.

Canada and Mexico have both called for the agreement to be extended for another 16 years.
