Sudbury Declares Flood Emergency
Mayor Paul Lefebvre announced the emergency declaration on Tuesday, granting the city additional powers to deploy emergency services and manage resources.
Conservation Sudbury warned that while levels dropped slightly overnight, warmer weather and incoming rain could bring record-high water levels.
Residents in high-risk areas have been urged to remain on alert and prepare for potential evacuations.
The state of emergency is expected to remain in place until at least April 27 as the spring melt continues.
