Iraq Arrests Officials in Anti-Corruption Sweep

Iraqi authorities launched a major anti-corruption operation, arresting several politicians and government officials in overnight raids across Baghdad.

The operation was carried out on direct orders from Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi, marking the biggest corruption investigation in the country in years.

State news agency reported dozens of suspects were detained, most of them lawmakers.
