Missing American woman in Bahamas

Lynette Hooker was reported missing after the couple's boat, Soul Mate, departed from a Texas port for a long-term sailing adventure.

Brian Hooker reportedly spent eight hours paddling a dinghy across a channel to report the incident, citing spotty cell service as the reason for the delay.

His attorney maintains that he is 'deeply distressed' and has denied any involvement in her disappearance.

Ex-FBI agents and local authorities are currently conducting a search of the Atlantic waters, but no sign of the missing woman has been found.
