Lungi Ngidi head injury

South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance after suffering a serious head injury during an IPL match between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings.

Ngidi hit the back of his head on the ground while attempting a catch, leading to a reverse tumble that put his full weight on his head.

Delhi police created a green corridor to ensure the ambulance could reach the hospital in just 11 minutes amid heavy traffic.

Medical officials have since confirmed that Ngidi is in stable condition and is expected to be discharged after further observation.

The incident has raised concerns about player safety and the hardness of the outfields during the high-intensity tournament.
