Zelensky faces corruption probe, election challenge

Ukraine's anti-corruption agencies launched a major operation targeting senior officials in President Zelensky's office, hours after ousted defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov called for wartime elections.

Parliament approved Yevhenii Khmara as the new defence minister amid protests and a deepening political crisis.

The anti-corruption raid led to the detention of former Deputy Office Head Iryna Mudra overnight.
