Artemis II lunar mission progress
The Artemis II mission is currently making history as the first crewed flight to the moon since the Apollo era, having surpassed the 200,000-mile mark from Earth.
Astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen are preparing for a lunar flyby intended to break the distance record set by Apollo 13.
Technical challenges have emerged, however, with engineers investigating a potential frozen vent line in the spacecraft's toilet.
The crew remains in high spirits, sharing breathtaking new photographs of Earth and the lunar far side during live broadcasts.
