Putin and Xi reaffirm alliance

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping have hailed their strategic partnership as a stabilizing force during a high-stakes summit in Beijing.

The meeting resulted in over 40 bilateral agreements covering energy, technology, and military cooperation.

While the summit underscored deep ties, Putin left without securing the firm commitment he sought for the Power of Siberia 2 gas pipeline.

The leaders issued a joint statement criticizing U.S. foreign policy and promoting a multipolar global order.
