Royal Mail Unveils £500m Plan

The new letter delivery model will be phased in nationwide starting next month, with the goal of achieving all delivery targets by May 2027.

Under the plan, second-class post will now be delivered every other weekday, while first-class delivery remains unchanged.

Regulator Ofcom has urged the company to 'get on and implement' the changes following years of missed targets and rising stamp prices.

The investment will also fund new technology and infrastructure to modernize the aging postal network.
