Artemis II crew returns home

Artemis II crew returns home

Commander Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen shared their first public remarks since splashing down in the Pacific Ocean, marking the conclusion of the first crewed lunar mission in over 50 years.

The mission's success has provided critical data for the upcoming Artemis III landing, though questions have been raised online regarding the condition of the Orion spacecraft's heat shield.

During the mission, the crew captured stunning high-resolution imagery of the lunar surface and Earth, following over 20 hours of specialized photography training.

The return marks a major milestone in the international effort to establish a permanent human presence on the moon.
