Google and Samsung tease XR glasses

Google and Samsung have officially unveiled the design of their upcoming Android XR smart glasses at the Google I/O 2026 conference.

Developed in collaboration with eyewear brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, the glasses will feature integrated Gemini AI for proactive assistance.

The devices are designed to be lightweight and compatible with both Android and iOS smartphones.

A commercial launch is planned for this fall, marking Google's return to a hardware market it first entered over a decade ago with Google Glass.
