Artemis II mission concludes

The mission served as a critical test of the Orion spacecraft's life support systems and heat shield before the planned Artemis III lunar landing.

Jeremy Hansen, the first non-American to orbit the Moon, described the experience of looking back at Earth as 'life-altering.' Volunteers at the Royal Aviation Museum in Winnipeg are already building a full-scale replica of the Orion capsule to commemorate the achievement.

NASA officials stated that the data gathered will be essential for ensuring astronaut safety during future deep-space exploration.
