John Ternus Named Apple CEO

Apple Inc. is entering a new era as longtime leader Tim Cook prepares to step down after a 15-year tenure that transformed the company into a global financial powerhouse.

His successor, John Ternus, is a 25-year company veteran who previously oversaw hardware engineering for the iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Analysts suggest that Ternus's primary challenge will be accelerating Apple's artificial intelligence strategy to catch up with rivals like Nvidia and Google.

While Cook will remain as executive chairman to manage global diplomacy, the appointment of a 'product guy' signals a return to hardware-focused innovation at Cupertino.
