Josh Kutryk assigned to ISS

The Canadian Space Agency has announced that Joshua Kutryk will be the next Canadian astronaut to embark on a long-duration mission to the International Space Station.

Kutryk is scheduled to launch aboard the Crew-13 mission in 2027 for a six-month stay, where he will conduct scientific experiments and maintain the orbiting laboratory.

A veteran test pilot and engineer, Kutryk was selected for the astronaut corps in 2017 and has been training extensively for this assignment.

His mission follows the historic Artemis II lunar flyby, continuing Canada's active role in international space exploration and research.
