Artemis II heads for Moon

Artemis II heads for Moon

Following a successful translunar injection burn, the Artemis II crew has shared breathtaking first images of Earth from deep space.

The mission has encountered minor technical hurdles, including a brief glitch with Microsoft Outlook and a faulty toilet that required on-board repairs.

Despite these issues, the spacecraft is on a precise free-return trajectory that will slingshot the astronauts around the Moon.

This mission serves as a critical precursor to the planned lunar landing scheduled for 2028.
