Louisiana mass shooting kills 8 children
The community of Shreveport is in mourning after the deadliest mass shooting in the U.S. in more than two years.
Authorities say the violence erupted at two separate homes following a domestic dispute over a pending divorce.
The victims ranged in age from 3 to 11, and the tragedy has sparked a national conversation about gun violence and mental health resources for Black communities.
Elkins, who had a history of mental health struggles, was taken into custody shortly after the incident.
