Lyrid Meteor Shower Peaks

Lyrid Meteor Shower Peaks

The oldest recorded meteor shower in history is returning to light up the night sky this week.

The Lyrids, which have been observed for over 2,700 years, are known for producing occasional bright fireballs and leaving glowing dust trails.

Astronomers recommend viewing the shower after midnight when the constellation Lyra is high in the sky.

While the peak occurs tonight, the display will remain visible until April 26, providing multiple opportunities for observation.
