Paul Quinn Guilty in 2003 Rape
Andrew Malkinson was exonerated in 2023 after new DNA evidence linked Quinn to the attack in Salford.
Quinn, 52, had denied the charges but was convicted following a trial that exposed systemic failures in the original investigation.
The case has prompted calls for a major overhaul of the criminal justice system and the way appeals are handled in the UK. Malkinson, who spent nearly two decades in prison for a crime he did not commit, was present in court to hear the guilty verdict against the true perpetrator.
