Trump Pressures Senate on Voter ID Bill

President Donald Trump urged Senate Majority Leader John Thune to keep the Senate in session until it passes the SAVE America Act or eliminates the filibuster.

Trump warned of dire electoral consequences if the voting restriction bill fails.

The Trump administration also asked the Supreme Court on Monday to clear the way for an executive order that could dramatically change mail-in voting ahead of November's midterm elections.

The Justice Department asked the justices to halt lower court decisions blocking the sweeping changes.
