Radev Leads Bulgarian Exit Polls
Bulgaria's eighth election in five years appears to have produced a clear frontrunner in euroskeptic former president Rumen Radev.
Exit polls show his center-left coalition earning nearly 40% of the vote, significantly ahead of the conservative GERB party led by Boiko Borissov.
Radev, a former fighter pilot, has campaigned on an anti-corruption platform and has notably opposed military support for Ukraine.
Despite the strong showing, the prospect of another fragmented parliament remains, potentially prolonging the political instability that has plagued the Black Sea nation since 2021.
