Air Traffic Control Overhaul

The Department of Transportation is launching a massive technological upgrade to enhance aviation safety following several high-profile near-misses at major airports.

Secretary Duffy stated that nearly half of the critical communication lines have already been modernized, but warned that further progress depends on continued congressional funding.

The plan includes a proposed AI system to manage airspace, though Duffy assured the public that human controllers will not be replaced.
