Lebanon Ceasefire Enters First Day

The first full day of the U.S.-brokered ceasefire in Lebanon has seen a massive movement of people returning to devastated neighborhoods in Beirut and southern regions.

While the guns have largely fallen silent, the Lebanese army has warned citizens against returning to certain frontline villages still occupied by Israeli forces.

Rescuers in Tyre continue to search the rubble of buildings destroyed in strikes that occurred just moments before the truce began.

Both sides have indicated that the next 10 days will be critical for negotiating a more permanent end to the conflict.
