Lufthansa Cuts 20,000 Flights
The German airline group said the cancellations represent a 1% reduction in its total passenger capacity for the summer season.
Lufthansa expects the move to save more than 40,000 metric tons of jet fuel as prices have doubled since the outbreak of the Iran war.
Other major carriers, including United and Delta, have also signaled they are reassessing their schedules and revenue forecasts.
The decision highlights the deepening economic impact of the regional conflict on the global aviation industry.
