Danish head-on train collision

The collision happened early Thursday morning on a train line linking the towns of Hillerød and Kagerup.

Emergency services confirmed that all passengers were safely evacuated from the yellow and grey carriages, which sustained significant front-end damage.

Four individuals were airlifted to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash, which occurred at a level crossing in a wooded area.
