Pope Leo XIV tours Africa

The American-born Pope Leo XIV is using his historic trip to Africa to deliver a series of blistering attacks on corruption and tyranny.

Speaking in Angola, the pontiff lamented that much of the world is being 'defrauded by the rich' and ravaged by a 'handful of tyrants.' His comments have been interpreted as a direct response to recent political broadsides from President Trump.

The Pope's tour also includes stops in the Democratic Republic of Congo and other nations as he seeks to reassert the Church's role in social justice issues.
