Israel Builds 22km Earth Barrier Inside Gaza

Israel has constructed a 22-kilometer earthen barrier running through the Gaza Strip, effectively cementing the territorial division that emerged after troops withdrew under the October ceasefire.

The military confirmed the barrier was built along the withdrawal line, separating the over 50% of Gaza it controls from the remaining areas.

The construction drew condemnation from Palestinians and rights groups, who view it as a de facto annexation.
