Machete attack at Grand Central
A terrifying random attack unfolded on a subway platform at one of the world's busiest transit hubs on Saturday morning.
Three victims, including an 84-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman, sustained injuries before officers on overtime duty intervened.
Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch confirmed that the suspect was shot twice after advancing on officers with the large blade.
Authorities have stated there is no known link to terrorism, and all three victims are expected to recover from their injuries.
