Europe faces jet fuel crisis

Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, has issued a sobering warning regarding Europe's dwindling jet fuel supplies.

The continent is estimated to have approximately six weeks of fuel remaining, a direct consequence of the war in Iran and the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.

Birol characterized the situation as the largest energy crisis in history, with potential for systematic flight cancellations and severe global economic repercussions.

While developing nations in Asia and Africa are currently bearing the brunt of the shock, European aviation is now reaching a critical tipping point.
