Blue Origin Booster Recovery Success

Blue Origin Booster Recovery Success

The New Glenn rocket launched from Florida on Sunday morning, with its first-stage booster successfully landing on a barge in the Atlantic Ocean.

While the recovery confirms Blue Origin's mastery of reusable rocket technology, the upper stage failed to deliver AST SpaceMobile's BlueBird 7 satellite to its intended altitude.

Blue Origin officials stated the satellite entered an 'off-nominal orbit,' which may render it less useful for its intended mission.

Despite the technical setback, the successful booster reuse is seen as a critical step in the company's efforts to increase launch cadence and compete with SpaceX.
