Worker killed at Zaporizhzhia plant

Tensions at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant have reached a critical level following a drone strike that resulted in the death of a facility worker.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) condemned the attack, warning that such incidents significantly increase the risk of a catastrophic nuclear accident.

Russia and Ukraine have traded blame for the strike, which targeted a transport vehicle near one of the plant's reactors.

The IAEA has called for an immediate cessation of all military activity near the site, emphasizing that the plant's safety systems are under unprecedented and dangerous strain.
