Six killed in Kyiv shooting

Ukrainian authorities are investigating a rare mass shooting in the capital that left six dead and several others hospitalized, including a child.

The gunman, identified as a 58-year-old man, barricaded himself in a grocery store after his initial attack, leading to a tense 40-minute standoff with special forces.

Two police officers have been suspended following reports that they fled the scene when the shooting began.

President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the violence as investigators examine whether the attack had any links to foreign terror groups.
