Ukraine Drones Hit Russian Oil Refineries

Ukrainian forces struck two oil refineries deep inside Russia, hitting the Slavyansk-na-Kubani facility in Krasnodar and another in Yaroslavl, as Kyiv intensified its campaign against Russian energy infrastructure.

President Vladimir Putin acknowledged the country is facing a temporary fuel deficit and called for increased air defence capacity to protect critical sites.

The attacks, which killed one person, sent massive black smoke billowing from the refineries and forced Russia to import more fuel.

Putin also said Ukraine proposed a mutual halt to long-range strikes, but he rejected the offer, vowing to press on with the front-line campaign regardless.
