Ireland Fuel Protests Escalate
The 'National Fuel Protest' has brought much of Ireland to a standstill, with trucks and tractors blocking vital access to fuel depots and ports.
While Gardaí successfully cleared the central Dublin blockade in a late-night operation, demonstrations continue in other locations including Galway and Cork.
The government is expected to approve new cost-cutting measures to provide relief to hauliers, farmers, and the fishing sector.
Industry experts warn that it could take up to ten days to fully restore the national fuel supply network once the blockades end.
