Noida factory worker protests

Industrial workers in Noida's Phase 2 intensified their demonstrations on Monday, torching vehicles and vandalizing property after negotiations over a significant wage gap with neighboring regions failed.

The protests, fueled by rising living costs and a perceived lack of corporate accountability, have resulted in the closure of major routes including the Chilla border.

In response, the district administration has announced new safeguards, including mandatory weekly offs and double pay for overtime, in an attempt to pacify the workforce.

However, many workers remain skeptical, and additional security forces have been deployed to maintain order in the industrial hub.
