Norris Wins Hungarian GP, Piastri Retires

Lando Norris won his first race of the 2026 Formula 1 season at the Hungarian Grand Prix, while teammate Oscar Piastri retired with a gearbox failure after a collision with Carlos Sainz.

Lewis Hamilton was penalised for speeding in the pit lane, compounding a frustrating weekend.

McLaren team principal Andrea Stella defended the strategy calls that frustrated Piastri, who had an explosive radio outburst.

Norris said his driving has significantly improved this year even though he is unlikely to defend his world title.
