ICE Arrests Iranian Elite's Family

A significant enforcement action by ICE has targeted high-profile Iranians living a 'lavish life' in Southern California.

Among those detained is Seyed Eissa Hashemi, the son of Masoumeh Ebtekar, who served as a spokeswoman for the militants during the 1979 U.S. Embassy hostage crisis.

The arrests come amid a tenuous ceasefire and represent a hardening of the U.S. stance toward individuals linked to the Iranian leadership.

Officials stated that the resident statuses were stripped due to national security concerns, and deportation proceedings are currently underway for all three individuals.
