Trump Refuses to Sign Bipartisan Housing Bill

President Trump announced he will not sign the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, a bipartisan bill that cleared Congress with overwhelming support to address America's housing crisis.

Instead, he plans to let it become law without his signature as a protest against the Senate's failure to pass the SAVE America Act, which would require proof of citizenship to register to vote.

The housing bill includes a ban on a U.S. central bank digital currency and other measures, but Trump's refusal to sign was seen as a political gambit.

Critics accused him of using affordable housing as leverage for unrelated voter-ID legislation.
