Calgary father charged with murder

A 37-year-old Calgary man has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder following the deaths of his two young children.

Police discovered the bodies of a 5-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl inside a vehicle after the suspect arrived at a police station nearly ten hours after the alleged incident.

Investigators believe the murders occurred shortly before midnight on Wednesday.

The suspect appeared in court on Friday as the local community gathered to mourn the tragic loss of the two siblings.
