Gunman kills six in Kyiv shooting

A rare mass shooting has shocked the Ukrainian capital after a 58-year-old man, identified as a Moscow-born Ukrainian citizen, opened fire on passersby.

Following the initial attack, the gunman barricaded himself inside a supermarket with hostages before being killed by special forces.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the motive is being 'thoroughly investigated' as a potential act of terrorism.

The incident has raised concerns about domestic security as the country continues its war against Russia.
