Artemis II Lunar Mission Progress
The four-member crew of the Artemis II mission is currently halfway to the Moon, preparing for a historic flyby that will take them further from Earth than any human in history.
NASA has released striking high-resolution images of the lunar surface captured by the crew, including basins never before seen by the human eye.
While the test flight has been largely successful, engineers are troubleshooting a recurring toilet malfunction suspected to be caused by an ice blockage.
The mission serves as a critical data-gathering phase for NASA's eventual goal of establishing a permanent lunar base.
