The 'Verified by Spotify' badge, a light green checkmark, will be awarded to artists who meet specific criteria, including a verifiable real-world presence and consistent engagement.

The platform will also introduce a new 'About' section for verified profiles, providing transparent data on an artist's background to ensure authenticity.

This initiative is designed to help listeners trust the music they consume and to protect human creators from the rise of content farms and imposter accounts.
